About Department
The Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering programme was started in 1984 with an intake capacity of 30 students. Now the department is known as Electronics and Computer Engineering department. Being affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, the department offers full-time B. Tech (ETC) course (Intake 120) and M. Tech in Embedded Systems course (Intake-24).
The aim of the department is to provide technical education of the highest standard in the field of Electronics and Computer Engineering. The Electronics & Telecommunication engineering branch includes the study of basic electronics, advanced electronics related to the ever-changing telecommunication field.
The strength of the department lies in highly qualified and experienced staff members who are serving the college from last 10 to 23 years.
The department has excellent state of the art laboratories. The department also has Electronics workshop and large number of software tools for students to use.
The industry institution interaction is also maintained by arranging guest lectures, seminars, technical workshops and industrial visits. The students interact with industrial experts during industrial visit and seminars to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
The students are updated with state of the art technology, allowing our graduates to work at the forefront of all major areas of Electronics and Telecommunication field. Workshops on preparation for aptitude tests and interviews for placement in MNCs are conducted for final year students.
Apart from academic excellence, the department also encourages students to take part in various co-curricular and extra co-curricular activities. MIT provides a platform for students to develop organizational skills and to upgrade their technical competence.
The department conducts a national level technical symposium ‘E-Nexplora” annually for the benefit of the students. Also our students participate in a National level Robotic contest ROBOCON every year. Our students have received prizes at different state and national level competitions.
Many undergraduate students undergo training in industries and government sectors like BSNL. The students passed out from ETC department have been successfully placed in various private and public sector organizations at recognised positions. The alumni of our department are serving society all over the globe. The department also encourages the students to be entrepreneurs.

Our Institute is one of the premier Institutes in the Marathwada region, with a rich Technical and Academic heritage. The Department was established in the year 2001 with the aim of providing leadership in the field of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering with an intake of 60 students
Our department abounds with innovation and creativity in teaching, learning and research. The vision of the department is to prepare qualified and technically proficient engineers to serve industry and various research organizations. This is achieved by imparting in depth theoretical knowledge through motivating lectures followed by hands-on experience in the state-of-the-art laboratories. We have well qualified faculties to nurture your research profile, having various specializations relevant for the Industry. Our faculty, PG and research students are working in research areas related to the cutting-edge technologies such as Cognitive and Software Defined Radio in Wireless Communication, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Communication Networks, Signal Coding and Communication, Robotics & Automation, IoT, ML and Artificial Intelligence. We strive to train and empower our students who will make the world a better place by using power of engineering principles, techniques, and systems.
The department strives to develop long term relationships with Industries and market. Student’s talents are enhanced through seminars, symposia, workshops, conferences and through its performance in the examinations and placements. They are thus provided high level ‘Leads and Pathways’ that enable them to gain access to a broad range of ‘high potential’ and ‘hi-tech’ Career Opportunities. Industry interaction is reinforced with several programs conducted with the help of industries and placement in industries that in turn ensures their placement. The objective is to provide our students with latest technical knowledge and skills through the best teaching facility, state of the art, lab experience, excellent research, and development environment. There are dedicated teachers to teach and motivate.
