Is there a way of delivering the above in a shorter period at a lesser cost, in a sustainable manner? Where are the resources for it?

Academic institutions have the infrastructure, qualified resource persons, and access to the global knowledgebase. Industry and communities have many needs that academic institutions can fulfill but miss a way to connect the needs and resources.

The need is to provide opportunities for applying knowledge to solve problems faced by local communities; both rural and urban provides an immense learning opportunity. MIT has a structured program to address these needs modeled on Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan, and Cluster Development Cells.[/vc_column_text][stm_title title_tag=”h4″ title_color=”custom” title_font_weight=”700″ title=”Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan (UMA)” title_color_custom=”#0a558e” title_margin_b=”20px”]Student Life[/stm_title][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1603088297750{margin-bottom: 40px !important;}”]Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) and Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan (UMA) – These programs are designed to tackle grand challenges through the participation of institutions of higher learning. The objective of UBA & UMA is to make research going on in engineering colleges, polytechnics, and other higher education institutes public-oriented by analyzing various day-to-day social and developmental problems in the country and the state (e.g., rural sanitation, toilets, drainage management, drinking water, road development, evaluation and reinforcement of roads, water conservation, fuel and energy, health, drought, etc.).

Thus, the solutions create opportunities for local industry to address local problems and students and faculty to contribute to the developmental goals.[/vc_column_text][vc_tta_accordion active_section=”1″ title=”Unnat Bharat Abhiyan”][vc_tta_section title=”Health Camp” tab_id=”Health”][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”4239,4240,4241″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Maharashtra Institute of Technology organized a free general health check up camp under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Programme with support of MIT Hospital, Aurangabad and through special support from Savitribai Phule Mahila Ekatma Samaj Mandal for the villagers of Narla, Bhavadi, Shevta, Bhoygaon, Shelgaon, Waghalgaon.

Objectives for the Camp

To diagnose the diseases and advised them to follow up with their local doctors or Public Health Centers or with one of our MIT Hospital affiliated doctors.

To provide information regarding diet, exercise, and weight control.

Date and venue

5th March 2019 at Maroti Mandir, Narla village.

Faculty Members Attended

Dr. P.
