Do Project Managers need to understand server administration also?
To an extent, yes. The Project Managers should understand what they can expect from the tool. Understanding basic security features and views can be of great help.
Should the administrators be trained before imparting training to Project Managers?
The administrators' training is a different module. The setup, however, needs to be complete before PMs are trained i.e. Resource breakdown structure, Enterprise global, and Cube for analysis services should be set up.
